About Lutheran Ministry in Christ
Our faith community is very diverse. People in all stages of life fill the Worship Center each week! Among them are professionals, office workers, chefs, counselors, retirees, young parents, teenagers, preschoolers, single parents and a host of others! Lutheran Ministry in Christ offers a diversity of Worship styles that allows more people to worship in the language of their hearts (Traditional, Blended and Contemporary), provides the Coral Springs community a Social Ministry Program that works with local, national and international social service agencies to serve those in need, activities that appeal to all adults of all ages including senior citizens, a Youth Program that provides inspirational and recreational activities for youth, and a pre-school that provides a safe and loving environment for children age 6 weeks through Pre-K. We hope that you will want to learn more about becoming an active disciple of Christ in our community as we move into a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) we believe that, in our baptism, God has given us new life in Christ. As members of Christ’s body—the church—we live that new life daily in our congregations, synods, church-wide organization and wherever God’s work is being done.
Mission of Lutheran Ministry in Christ
As a community of faith, inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we live out our calling to celebrate God's presence in our lives by sharing with all people God's unconditional and healing love.
Our Vision for Ministry
Driven by our mission and sense of Call to discipleship, we envision ourselves as a congregation of "small groups." Small groups are where people of God, in relationship to one another and to God, can be nurtured, equipped, and strengthened for ministry in daily life. Small groups are intentional communities that nurture compassion for one another (love), explore God's presence in our lives (learn), and seek tangible ways of sharing with others (serve).
We celebrate the diversity of our community, both our worshipping community and the community in which we live, as a gift from God. We envision opportunities for diversity in worship styles to enable more people to worship in the language of their hearts. In our congregation we will offer four diverse weekly worship services: traditional, blended, contemporary and "seeker sensitive."
We believe this is God's vision and calling for the church in our community: that there might be a place where people can celebrate God's presence— experiencing Jesus' healing love in the midst of hurt and pain, experiencing good news in the midst of bad news, experiencing hope in the midst of hopelessness.
